Movies out this week in Bollywood: Aligarh Review

Two new films are released  this week,

Tere Bin Laden  and Aligarh..

Both have taken a low opening occupancy for the morning shows . Both the films seem to be low on buzz in terms of box office collection .But both these movies are worth to watch.We will be reviewing Aligarh today.

Movie Review:Aligarh

Aligarh is a movie meant to be felt rather than to watch and trust me it will catch you by surprise.

Aligarh is about an incident happened in the renowned Aligarh University where Professor S.R Siras gets caught up with a boy having sex. This sting operation completely changes the life of Siras and the movie talks about the same.

The movie is not a typical Bollywood intense film but is something that defines new standards of movie making. Loved the way this movie started off. Absolutely nothing rubbish was included in the movie making it even better.

The movie is such that even the silence tells you thing. May it be Siras listening to songs or may it be Siras yelling at someone, each scene was pictured with utmost realistic approach. If you wanna see what acting really is, watch Aligarh.

Rajkumar Rao, in the role of a journalist delivered the best support for Manoj Bajpai making the movie complete. This man certainly has a bright future in the industry. But the movie was carried by the man himself, Manoj Bajpai who not only acted well but also efficiently carried on the intensity of the movie as well as the script.

The movie is slow and tensed so people who are not generally a fan of a realistic movie may not like it. But trust me the movie is a beautiful creation to watch.

Credits to Hansal Mehta for making this masterpiece. Aligarh based on the fact that Homosexuality is criminalized yet again raises many questions to the Indian constitution and challenges the rights of homosexuals. Go for it of you like tensed and realistic movies on controversial topics.

Aligarh unfortunately didn’t even have many morning shows at multiplexes in the metros  that will affect the overall collection of the movie. The film being based on a sensitive issue like homosexuality will not have many takers and will cater to only niche audiences .So only certain audience will like it but for actors and filmmakers  ,this is a must watch .
